About the coaches:

Bobby Ferraris
Bobby Ferraris has been at Mercyhurst for the last four years and serves as the recruiting coordinator in addition to on-ice coaching. Prior to his arrival in Erie, Ferraris served for two years as assistant coach at American International College (AIC). During his stay with the Yellow Jackets, Ferraris was the recruiting coordinator, served as defense and special teams' coach, and coordinated video breakdown and game analysis. Before AIC, Ferraris spent a combined three years as assistant coach for both New Haven (Conn.) and Utica (N.Y.) of the United Hockey League and played for six seasons. He spent the 2002-03 season as head coach of the Connecticut Junior Wolves (MJHL).

Louis Goulet
Louis Goulet returns for his second season with the Mercyhurst College
women’s hockey program. As an assistant coach, Goulet is responsible for
coaching the offense as well as recruiting, travel arrangements and video
coordination.
Goulet had an immediate impact on the Laker offense in just his first
season, following a successful professional career that saw him spend time
in the East Coast Hockey League, the American Hockey League and a season
overseas in the Elite Ice Hockey League.
The Kapuskasing, Ontario native helped the Laker offense rank in the top-3
nationally during their run to the national championship game. Several
Lakers saw their numbers increase drastically, including three-time
All-American Meghan Agosta, who broke the school-record for points in a
season and became the seventh player in NCAA history to score 100 goals in a
career.
A 2002 graduate of Mercyhurst College, Goulet played four seasons of
collegiate hockey with head coach Rick Gotkin and the men’s hockey program.
Bill
Wager
Bill Wager is currently the NCAA Division I Goalie Coach at Mercyhurst
College. Bill is based in Erie, but travels and teaches in the tri-state
area of Western N.Y., Northeastern Ohio and Western Pa. Bill played youth
hockey here in Erie, then moved into Varsity High School Hockey as an 8th
grader playing for Cathedral Prep. Following his sophomore year Bill played
the next two years in the U.S. Junior A hockey leagues. Bill played his
college hockey at The Ohio State University and eventually played off and on
over the course of three seasons in the ECHL for the Erie Panthers and the
Dayton Bombers. Bill began his coaching career helping Cathedral Prep win
the state championship then became the coaching director for Erie Youth
Hockey for three seasons and the organizations goalie coach for eight
seasons. In 2001, Bill joined Mercyhurst Prep High School as Assistant Head
Coach and Goalie Coach. In 2008 Bill joined the Mercyhurst Lakers Men's
Division 1 team as an Assistant Coach and Goalie Coach and continues in the
that position today.
