I'd like to assemble a section of this website to present some details on the history of hockey in Erie. I haven't been around for most of it, so I need to rely on some of you who were! Topics I'm interested in pursuing include:

• Local pro / semi-pro teams (Lions, Blades, Golden Blades, Panthers, Otters - is there anything else?)

• Local rinks (especially photos)

• Local adult recreational hockey

• Local youth/school hockey

 

I'm looking for any of the following:

• Your recollections

• Photos

• Programs

• Articles / clippings

• Stats / results

 

If you'd like to help, or have anything to contribute, send me an email at dhinz@eriehockey.com. If you have hard copies of things (photos, etc) I would prefer an electronic (scanned) version, but I can scan the originals if need be.
